Process
Punching is a mechanical manufacturing process, similar to a press, where a punch and die tool is used to pierce and shape a metal sheet.
The main advantages include high precision, repeatability, and versatility. A wide range of tools are available, allowing for cuts in various shapes and sizes, including holes, slots, vents, embossing, and other forms.
Cutting operation on a metal sheet. The machine operates quickly and precisely, using a punch and die to perforate and cut specific shapes into the sheet metal.
The sheet moves along the worktable to the exact positions where the cuts will be made. The punch descends and cuts the material. The process is repeated, performing all the cuts at the different positions.
Punching machine cutting sheet metal with an automated loading and unloading system. The machine uses suction cups to lift and position the metal sheet.
Before starting the cutting process, a sensor measures the thickness of the sheet to verify the material and ensure that only one sheet has been loaded. Once the measurement is confirmed, the punching machine proceeds to make precise and rapid cuts on the sheet, demonstrating efficiency and accuracy in the automated process.
